Martyn Joseph is a performer like no other: Shades of Springsteen, John Mayer, Bruce Cockburn and Dave Matthews there may be - but he stands in his own right, built on a reputation for giving what thousands have described as the best live music experience of their lives delivering his "songs of lyrical intelligence" according to BBC Radio 2's Bob Harris.

Songwriting tips

Went into a few book stores in Cardiff yesterday. Cool idea for songs..pencil down some of the great titles you will find on the shelves, maybe move the words around a bit. It leads to nice ideas and imagery. Bought a few CD`s too. Like Moby`s new one, but my find of the day was a cello album by Caroline Dale called `Such Sweet Thunder`. It is beautiful, i just sat and listened, and was taken on a wonderful journey. Cant reccomend it enough. Cat no karmacd7
