Martyn Joseph is a performer like no other: Shades of Springsteen, John Mayer, Bruce Cockburn and Dave Matthews there may be - but he stands in his own right, built on a reputation for giving what thousands have described as the best live music experience of their lives delivering his "songs of lyrical intelligence" according to BBC Radio 2's Bob Harris.

Ray Gravell

Despite a great show in Manchester tonight (it really was a cracker), I’m very sad tonight. Just learnt of the passing of Welsh Rugby legend Ray Gravell. He was a wonderful man who I had met on many occasions and he always had something good to say about a song or related issues.

I had his name on a list of things to do in the sense that I was very moved by a recent interview on TV with him about his recent health issues, and I was going to send him the new album and say how much I was struck by his humility and demeanour. Can’t do it now. Really shocked by his passing, what a great gentlemen he was.
