Martyn Joseph is a performer like no other: Shades of Springsteen, John Mayer, Bruce Cockburn and Dave Matthews there may be - but he stands in his own right, built on a reputation for giving what thousands have described as the best live music experience of their lives delivering his "songs of lyrical intelligence" according to BBC Radio 2's Bob Harris.

More Winnipeg

Winnipeg is nice. Been wandering around the Forks area, which is a famous meeting point of two rivers, and the Exchange, an area of older buildings where I have hung for a few hours in old bookshops. For more information on the connection between Winnipeg and Winnie The Pooh check out http://www.just-pooh.com/history.html (thanks to Sam Martorana for this info).

Have been finishing off a few songs in my hotel room here and recording them onto mini disc in the bathroom, the acoustics are cool in there. Other than that it’s a pretty quite time here, though I have to get up at 5 am tomorrow to do breakfast TV; three songs at that time of the day! Time zones are a strange thing, as I type this it’s 1 am at home and I like the fact that I know most folk are in bed and safe while the sun beats down here. What a strange lad I am. Oh, by the way, the office told me today there is a mistake on the front cover of the Passport Que mag that’s about to go out, its says March 2002 instead of July. That’s a serious time zone mistake.
