Martyn Joseph is a performer like no other: Shades of Springsteen, John Mayer, Bruce Cockburn and Dave Matthews there may be - but he stands in his own right, built on a reputation for giving what thousands have described as the best live music experience of their lives delivering his "songs of lyrical intelligence" according to BBC Radio 2's Bob Harris.

Last week..

amongst other things, i went to London to see the edit of the video for the MST CD. It was very moving to see again the images we encountered in Brazil, i`m so pleased that we can combine images with the music for this project. Its all coming together nicely and will be ready for Greenbelt in August.

Had a strange moment when my car lost all power on Westminster Bridge, i have never felt so popular as people honked their horns and made lovely gestures towards me! On the weekend i played a show near Diss. Phil Beer (the other half of Show Of Hands) joined me on a number of songs playing fiddle and guitar, he sounded great. Things are getting hectic now as i leave for Canada in just over two weeks. As i`m going to be gone for around two months there is a lot of prereration to be done. Spoke to Chris De Burgh today (name drop), looks like i`m going to be doing those dates of his in November…cool
